How many miles do you run a week?

So, I've just been going along, doing my thing, and not paying too much attention to the Ragnar "schedule" Well, I went to have a look today, and the intermediate plan has you running about 35 miles/week. Uhhh...I'm not running that much at all. Maybe 20 if I'm lucky.(but I'm also cross training) So, my question to ya'll is.....what's your mileage like these days? How many miles/week are you running??

  1. I'm about 20 too. I've married up the two training plans a bit (because I feel that I'm neither a novice nor intermediate) and I'm comfortable with 20 miles right now. I think in May I may bump it up a little, and with the 2 and 3 a-days coming up and the longer runs on Saturdays, that will increase the weekly mileage automatically. I'm bracing myself!

  2. none :) but I'm hoping to be released back to running (after an ankle stress fracture) this week.

Prior to then injury I was running about 25 miles/week while training for a 1/2.

  3. I am about 25 miles per week. It wears me out just thinking about it. Hey Tara-what about a group run????

  4. Jarrie--thanks for the reminder! I'll do a post and see what days work for everyone.

  5. I'm following the intermediate plan but if I miss a run I don't worry too much. I think it will over-prepare you for this race (of course I haven't run this race before), probably between 25 to 30 miles a week. I think if you train for your specific legs you'll be okay. For me it's one downhill 7 miler, one uphill 8 miler and one flat 3 so I spend most my runs in the hills.
