  5. Awesome!! Definitely post pics...it keeps me going out here all alone in AZ. I'm getting worried that Van#2 is getting too fast and Van#1 isn't going to have as much down time in the race :) It's a good problem to have.

  7. Sarah and I both say "Thanks everyone!" I will post pics soon, our family is in town so we have been busy, but is was a fun race. Although... downhill people...... I only ran like 4 miles tops at an actual downhill yesterday and my quads are burning today......Sarah ran way more downhill, like a total of 17 downhill and she can't barely walk down stairs and has a slight hobble =) TOTALLY WORTH IT THOUGH, we had a blast!

  8. People think downhill is easy but don't be deceived it's hard on your body. Something for those of us to think about that have downhill portions. So how do you prepare yourself? Do extra quad workouts with the weights, Make sure your running enough uphill and try a downhill run once a week but no more because of risk of injury. Congrats again!

  9. P.S. To Jen and Sara, try a nice cold ice bath. It will suck bad until your legs are numb (about the first 10 minutes) then you'll be okay. Soak about 30 minutes and you'll be amazed at how much quicker you will recover.

P.S.S. And for those who have long downhill portions on our team you might want to scrap the massage and go for the facial :)
