Also, I am hoping my van will be to Newport by 2:30 or 3:00. Since we are not all meeting until 5:30, I think it would be fun to rent beach bikes for an hour or two and cruise the boardwalk. Maybe shop on Balboa island. Let me know who is interested. It will not be strenuous. The boardwalk is totally flat!
Also, I am wondering about breakfast Friday for van two. I personally do better when I eat fairly normally, but I know this is not true for everyone. Their is a place called Charlie's that we eat at every summer. My husband lover their French toast and pancakes, and I always go for hashbrowns since I don't eat bread. I don't know if their is time or if this is too heavy for some of you. If not it might be fun. Let me know what you think.

For workouts next week this is what I have planned--yoga monday (probably try and do a 1.5-2 mile warm up first)
ReplyDeleteSpeed workout on Tuesday--guessing around 5 miles.
Then MAYBE an EASY 3 on Wed.
When you taper, usually the best approach is lots less miles, but still keep up the quality of your workout. For example, instead of running 8 really slow, run 4 at your normal pace.
I'm open to breakfast on Friday--just depending on what time we get up and get ready. The hotel does have a full breakfast. And we need to be in Aneheim by 11 am. So, maybe we can just play it by ear. There might not be enough time.
Same with bikes on the boardwalk--that sounds like a blast, as long as the van doesn't get stuck in traffic or anything. :)
